How Unvios works
Premium tech marketplace in Portugal with escrow payments via Stripe — funds stay protected until you confirm everything is right.
What guarantee do I have?
Unvios is not a manufacturer warranty on the product. The guarantee we offer is payment protection: the item price does not go straight to the seller when you pay.
Your card is authorised through Stripe (a certified payments company). Funds are only released to the seller after you confirm receipt — or after a dispute is resolved if something goes wrong.
If the item is not as described, do not confirm receipt. Report a problem from your account. Escrow stays paused while our team reviews the case.
Buying — step by step
- 1.Choose the item and shipping (InPost or CTT).
- 2.Pay on Stripe Checkout (item + shipping + Trust Shield: €2.50 + 2% of the item price).
- 3.Payment is held in escrow — the seller does not receive the item amount yet.
- 4.The seller ships (tracked shipping recommended).
- 5.You receive and inspect the device (we recommend testing within 48 hours).
- 6.If everything is correct: confirm receipt in Account → funds are released to the seller.
- 7.If not: use Report a problem and contact support — do not confirm receipt.
Selling — step by step
Until the buyer confirms, the item funds are not finally yours — that protects you from buyers who pay and then disappear without a trace.
- 1.Create an account and list with one or two photos: a clear product shot plus an optional specs screenshot (Settings › About) for phones and laptops — AI fills title, specs, and price.
- 2.After AI identifies the item, confirm whether you have the original invoice or receipt (optional but builds buyer trust).
- 3.Complete Stripe Connect under Account → Settings (required to receive payouts).
- 4.When someone buys, you see the order in escrow.
- 5.Ship within ~3 business days with tracking.
- 6.When the buyer confirms receipt, you receive the net item amount (minus ~8% platform commission).
Fees (transparent)
- Buyer: shipping (€3.90 InPost or €5.50 CTT) + Trust Shield (€2.50 + 2% of item price).
- Seller: ~8% commission on the item price, deducted on release.
- No listing fee in the current phase.
Risks and good practice
No marketplace removes all risk between individuals. Unvios reduces the main one: unprotected hand-to-hand payment.
- Buyer: do not confirm receipt before opening and testing; keep photos/video when unboxing; use tracked shipping.
- Seller: honest photos, proof of shipment, never ask for payment outside Unvios.
- Both: abusive disputes and chargebacks can lead to account suspension (see Terms).
Disputes and refunds
In Account → Purchases & Escrow, use Report a problem while the order is in escrow. The order moves to Disputed and release is paused.
Also email support@unvios.com with your order reference (e.g. UNV-…), photos, and details. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe (typically 5–10 business days to your bank).
